In these days of fast food, fast fashion and flat packed furniture nothing, it seems, is built to last.
Every high street has the same food, coffee, clothing, DIY and furniture shops. Sadly to have something original is becoming increasingly difficult in the UK. Clone high st uk as I call it.
Escape from the herd - have some unique furniture of your own design hand made by a traditional joiner.
Or maybe you have a corner or alcove and can not find any ready made solutions.
Alcoves (normally found between chimney breasts) can be useful for utilising space, why not get rid of all those nasty cables and make it into a media centre cabinet, bookcase or wardrobe.
However, as most ready made furniture is made in sweat shops across the world with non fair trade woods, expect to pay more for something original and hand made to measure, and of your own design.
